My Son tried to Steal my Z06 - I wanted to kick his azz !!!
.
. . But.... I could never do that to my little dude ... That might change in a little over 10 yrs when he gets his license and tries to take the Z out for a joy ride.... I don't think I want to know what he is thinking in the second picture. I can't believe how fast he is growing up... Toque How times have changed.... Only 5 years ago he was here.... |

Thanks everyone.
Its funny... when he got in the drivers seat he immediately put one hand on the wheel, and the other hand on the shifter. I did not tell him that. He is paying attention me when I drive obviously. Im sure he has no idea what the shifter is for, but he knows the position to go cruising... Its funny because you never think the kids are paying attention to what your doing, or saying...... but they ARE paying attention. Toque Last edited by Toque; 08-13-2010 at 5:25pm. |

You could be one of those cool dads who by your kid a corvette for their first car, My dad got me a C4, even though it was kinda fast, I was brought up around sport cars, mainly Camaros and vettes, so I knew how to handle power, and the fact that I was told, if I got any type of ticket, the car would be his and my face would be swollen shut for a few weeks due to swelling. BTW looks like you have good time with your kid, he looks pretty cool behind the wheel

I think I will get him a 4cyl Ford ranger for his first car, or maybe a Jeep. I know what I was like when I drove my dad's 88 C4 vert when I was 16... My Z06 is way too fast for an inexperienced driver to say the least. Toque |

First Corvette I drove was my aunt's white '92 C4... I was 13ish... I promptly floored it and had it up to about 90 before she told me to back off
We were in the middle of nowhere Florida so no po-po or anyone else on the road. My grandmother used to have me drive her around when I was 12-14 whenever I'd go visit... I never complained. |
