Considering a mod... thought ?
I've been toying with an idea... I know where I can get a clam shell cheap. I'm thinking about buying it and cutting along the inside of the center scoop enough to add material and raise it about 1 inch giving it a very slight custom job look. I don't need to do this for clearance, but I do love body work.
This subtle of a change shouldn't make the front end to bulky looking or change the body lines of the car. Anyone else done anything similar or have thoughts? |

Sounds like the existing double 'scoop' or raised area would now be one large flush area?

1) I wish I could photoshop, I'd have a better idea.
2) I'll try to be clearer... I wouldn't cut the front (nose end) of the scoop, I would simply cut down each side and raise the windshield end up one inch... a gradual taper to the front end. ***only raising the original "scoop" center section. |

Just stole a pic off ebay and tried to explain my though on it. The black line is where I would cut. Then add material tapering the center raising it up 1inch at the windshield. Giving it a cowl induction hood scoop look but with the factory hood center line down the scoop instead of flat like the cowl induction.
Hopefully the "mud" is a little clearer.. hahah Last edited by vette758702; 02-07-2011 at 12:54pm. |
