There are a few things you might want to look at. First, those who choose to enter the military cannot "work" there until what would be a normal retirement age. I know countless people who have retired at 20-25-30 years. Almost every single 1 of them had to find another job to supplement income afterwards.

If you really don't think that servicemen and women deserve the modest retirement plans that they get, you don't understand the personal and professional sacrifices that were made while they were earning it.


As for the business world, the pension and retirement benefits were the deciding factor in which company I chose after I left active duty. They might not be as common as they used to be, but they are certainly offered by many of the most successful companies in the country.

You took one thread from four months ago that correlated tax rates GDP growth and merged it with another one that just shows what the tax rates to compare them to where they are today.

The only thing they had in common was the word tax.
