Yep... a President telling the American public to fu ck off. Yea, that's exactly what this country needs. This simple statement shows pretty clearly that your interests are your own and not for the country as a whole.

What would have been best for the people would have been to eliminate the issue at the start when Hillary (yes, a Democrat, first brought it up). Instead we have a President who chose his own interests, for whatever reason, over the people.

THAT is the problem. The issue has never been the birth certificate itself. The issue is that rather than doing something incredibly simple that would have very easily prefented an even greater separation in this country he did exactly the opposite and divided it even more.

If you don't believe that he divided it, just take a look at these threads. We are for the most part a group of educated, somewhat knowledgable Americans and here we are fighting more than ever. Why? Because the President of the United States chose himself over the people... again.

As I have found time and again going through this overseas adoption, it's that scanners don't pick up the embossed portion. Photographs can if the light is coming from the side so as to reveal it through shadows.

What would happen if Chas went in for a job interview where a requirement was to show proof that you are legal to work here (like pretty much any company has) and you refused to show them proof? I started working at GE and I had to show 2 forms of ID proving I was legal. Big f'n deal. I did it.

I am not saying that he should divulge his credit card statements and Jr. High love letters but when one of the requirements for Presidency is spelled out in the Constitution itself I don't feel like providing proof of that is too much to ask.

And that's where your argument falls apart. Obama did show proof, his Certificate of Live Birth. That document is considered proof of citizenship under all US law, period. He showed that over 2 years ago.

Silly him, he probably thought the standard issue, he and everyone else who was born in Hawaii uses would be enough. After all … he and every other natural born United States Citizen from Hawaii who have to “FLY” to go “ANYWHERE” in the other United States of America or the WORLD, required identification and a Passport.

Anyway, he was forced to do what few have ever had to do … I guess he’s beginning to get use to it. Trust me, you and I both know this isn’t the end.

He did. That wasn't good enough. Neither were the birth announcements in the papers from that time period.
