And I agree actions should and NEED to have consequences. Maybe set some sort of ceiling on benefits? Stop the notion of more kids more money By limiting payment to no more than two kids?

I'm an accountant, which is why i'm so concerned to see money paid to scum, while our government can't pay all their bills.

But as soon as you begin limits, they start screaming the same thing...well it's only going to hurt the children.

And it probably WILL to some extent, for a while. But not nearly as bad as the Town Criers claim.

Let me pose a question to you. You might answer honestly, and you might not, we'll never know, but lets try:

You have two job applicants standing in front of you for a position in the mail room at your accounting firm.
Both applicants came to your interview dressed decently, both were equal in terms of interview skills. During your interview you discover:

Applicant #1 is an unemployed dock worker. This woman worked hard her entire life. She never over extended, she raised her kids to be honest people, paid her bills on time, etc.

Applicant #2 is a 300# mastodon with 6 crumb snatchers who's been on welfare for the last 10 years. Her government quit coming because of the recent overhaul to the welfare system.

Who get the gig?

And please. Don't pick apart my hypothetical case here. It's for illustration purposes.

We al, know the applicant who gives the most impression that they'd be on time or early every day, and leave when the job gets done, and has the least gaps on their resume. Which is obviously applicant A. So we created the beast, yes I get that. But at some point we need to begin to ween off the beast. Adding new freebies (birth control) only rewards applicant B for their behavior and encourages more of it.

And when the Beast's hit the job market, would YOU hire them? That was my point. When we do start to ween them off, the Beast will be out looking for work. Some anyway. And who want's to hire some Beast who was FORCED to go to work?

When you're shutting off an 800# steam valve to a turbine, you don't slam the valve shut. You close it slowly.
