I think he has spoken about his plans if he is confirmed. As a 28 year veteran myself, I can tell you that the people I speak to, who are still serving constantly tell me how bad things are since I retired 10 years ago. Every last one mentions the root cause of all the problems are the woke, DEI emphasis instead of actual military considerations trumping left wing policies. I’d be happy to let you speak to any of them. Hegseth may not be the most qualified SECDEF in history, but his perspective as a “boots on the ground” infantryman, and his support of the war-fighter may be what the DOD needs.

I'm not a military man. Spent my life in the construction business. And I have seen these guys with degrees and resumes and petegree be elevated to leadership positions only to make a mess of a project.
Meanwhile I have seen "rank & file" calaoused tradesmen elevated and they shine and not only get the job done...they are respected by the boots.
