Just bought another Mac 18, and was going to get a Glenmorangie 18, but the sales rep said I should try the Grangestone. Anyone ever had it?

Still no Mac 25 to be had, but I have to go to Sarasota next Tuesday to drop off a .gov computer, and if the South Sarasota Total Wine still has one, I'll get it.

I think I might have had a Grangestone once, but definitely not the 31.

It's actually pretty tasty. Despite being 31 years, it has about the same amount of bite that the Macallan 18 has, but NOWHERE NEAR Macallan 25, but at $180/bottle, I could definitely rock this. It's a much lighter color than Macallan, and has nowhere near the bouquet or the flavor that Macallan does, but again, for $180, I consider it something I'd get again.

I have had several tastes of the Glenmorangie 18, I like it, but don’t love it. For the same money I much prefer The Macallan 15.

I still prefer the Mac 18 over this new 31 year old stuff. I also prefer it over the Glenmorangie 18, but for the price, it's not a bad deal. At $360/bottle, I don't mind having Macallan 18 on hand at all times. Not enough to register on the budget, but damn fine scotch. I REALLY WANT another bottle of 25. That shit is to die for.

Just picked up a bottle of Macallan 18. I blame this thread for my decision to purchase it. Before this bottle the most I've spent on a single bottle was $100.

Maybe if you took a few sips before you tried to carry it you wouldn't have the shakes to make you drop it. Hope this helps.
