My first was a '62, Roman Red, both tops, 4-speed, 340 HP. I don't have a single pic. I think I paid $1700 for it. Good old car, never any problems.

Black. BTW, the dash on the right side just behind the grab bar had deteriorated. I put in a piece of rubber hose to maintain the shape and then glued some black naugahyde over it.

Here's a butt shot. 1979 L-82, auto that my grandfather had. I fell in love with this car around 1982 or so. Still have it. Currently have installed the rear VBP mono-leaf fiberglass fully adjustable spring. My mechanic is working on installing the front set up. I hope I can still keep it but running out of room. Maybe turn it into an autox or just resto mod cruiser.

My 94 shortly before selling it in 2014. I bought it from my dad in 99 at 26, kind of wish I still had it.

As I was loading it, she told me she had the trans at her parent's place, it just needed to be installed. I bought a gasket set for the super T-10 and a battery and that was it. Drove it for years.

I had to keep that black bra on, the paint was totally faded a different color.

My first. 1981 that had 100201 miles when I bought it in 2000. Guy got a DUI and had a boat, Harley, and the Vette to sell. I paid $4k for it. Put calipers on it and a low pressure switch on the ac and sold it a couple months later for $5200. I bought a '72 Nova with 64k miles a few days before I got the Vette and after driving both I kept the Nova. That's the Nova under the cover. Had an '84 36k mile Camaro F41 in the garage.

That time wrenching together with your old man will end up being the best part of having that car. Great memories I'll bet.

The first Corvette I had was a '74 454 coupe. It was orange with tan guts, and black side pipes. Yes, it woke up the neighbourhood. It was nicknamed the pumpkin. I'll try to find some pics.
