My dad called a couple days ago to wish himself a happy birthday before going to bed. He's like 95 or something? Anyways, he wanted to know why I didn't call him. Seriously? I don't even know what day of the week it is most of the time. Trying to remember a particular day out of the year has about 56 times less significance to me
 Doctor tells him he should be good for 110.

My dad passed in 2012 at 92. He set a high bar that the family can reach for.
I think of him often, especially when I grab a tool he gave me or when I’m trying to figure out how to do a project around the house. It’s like his voice telling me to do it this way, not that way, kid. |
