I'm no college sports fan,
and especially not a basketball fan. But we're up here in Spokane and my stepson started a new job here a few months ago. He's the chef for the athletic dept. at Gonzaga University. He does all their training tables, alumni events, etc. He took me on a tour of their new athletic complex the other day.
The people in this town are rabid Bulldog fans, to say the least. Today there is a special event they do every year, the first team basketball scrimmage. They open up the arena and charge no admission to the fans. The place will be mobbed by people waiting in line all day. He has gotten us courtside seats behind the bench, and we will be in our seats before the arena opens. One thing I do know about basketball, it's far better live than on TV. Never had seats this good for any sporting event. Looks like I may be a Gonzaga fan now.

Just got back. Wow, that arena rocked like a 5.0 earthquake. They've got some good players, they should be fun to watch this year.
