A buddy of mine lives just of the French Quarter and invited me over for New Years. Bought the ticket and psyched to go. I just learned he got hit by the flu and was at the clinic today. Dammit hell. Non-refundable ticket with a $200.00 cancellation charge for a $300.00 ticket.

Looks like me and Netflix will be ringing in 2018.

Any ideas for a lonely guy that can't afford hookers and blow?

We were just there the beginning of December and Bourbon Street was completely torn-up, down to the sewers (as if the whole of Bourbon wasn't a sewer already ).

His wife is flying into NOLA today and she said she'd let me know how bad he is. I have not cancelled my flight yet. If I go, I have to add the cost of a hotel and I'll still be alone wandering Bourbon Street in the cold and rain.

Final decision is tomorrow AM.
