Default 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour
Decided to do the HRPT last week of April. Got The Ghost ready, installed the roof shade and got a tool box prep for the trip.



Left California on Sunday May 27th, made it to the Arches National Park and spent the whole Monday there. Great place to visit.











Took off Tuesday morning, started to rain in Nebraska, linked up with Greg and Mike in Stevenson, Michigan, drove to Detroit on Friday for HRPT registration.

Gateway Speedway, Illinois/St. Louis

In St. Louis had to go to the Veterans Hospital. I was there for 4 hours. I got to say that hospital is on 1980's technology

The tour ended Friday, June 8th, the next day Saturday all long haulers (whoever drove the whole thing from Detroit to Arlington, TX) went to the quick trip park for a certificate, a key chain and a small back pack.

Left Arlington, TX around 10:00AM, made it to Monterey, TN around 9:30PM and next day there was a storm coming from the south which broke rainfall records in Florida. I drove off that morning towards to the Tail of The Dragon route right on the NC border/highway US129.

Drove from US129 to Chattanooga, TN and visited Ruby's Fall

























I was going to visit a big fall on Monday, but it was raining hard and decided to drive to my next destination.

Betty Boop has been at the NCM twice and The Ghost deserved to visit his birthplace for the first time in 17 years.















Finally I made it to a tour. No cameras or cell phones allowed.

Next day I drove to the Wild Turkey Distillery. Had a sample of Wild Turkey Reserve Bourbon and that is one smooth drink. Small bottle cost me $31.

Damn Pete, some beautiful cars and engines there. The one that brings back the most memories to me, was the pic of that 225CID Slant Six. Reminds me of my first Plymouth Duster. Nice job as usual Pete
