It may be an old age thing.

I have wondered sometimes why a few people going the opposite direction are waving at me?
Then I realize, it's a C5 or older gen driver (very rare for C6 & C7 models) waving at the C4 I'm driving.
I guess I don't consciously notice Vettes so much anymore, as I don't drive mine too often anymore.

On the other hand, sometimes I'll wave when I do notice a Vette, while driving my Escape or Cycle.

Funny you mention cycle, I get quite a few waves (and I reciprocate) from bikers. I live on a large lake and its a good ride going around the lake so I see plenty of bikers. Mostly its the Harley guys but occasionally a Jap bike will wave!

FWIW on my 7th Vette and if at all possible I TRY to be the first to wave at other Vettes any generation. Now driving a C7 (15)

Just about every road bike I pass, the down "V" is waved.
I say road bike, because I ride a cruiser HD. Sport bike kids are <= 50/50.
Regardless, I reciprocate.



I lived outside of Syracuse (North) for 10 years.
Enjoyed the finger lakes area for weekend camping.
Don't miss the snow.
Also summer vacationed a few times in Lake George.

My old custom '72 gets smiles/waves/grins/ and ??? as to what YEAR it is....

I just grin, and say 'pick a year, what year do you like??'......then I grin and say it's got Corvette parts on it from 65-94 so pick a year.....

then I relent as say it was born in '72......and there is NOTHING stock, stem to stern, wheels through roof....
