I watched this one unfold.
Someone forgot to say "Well that's not going anywhere!"

I did it with a Yeti full of beer, wine, and ice when I forgot to close the truck tailgate. Fortunately it was before I got to the busy road.

I was driving slightly behind a pickup truck a few weeks ago on a 4 lane road. He was in the left lane, i was in the right. When we entered a round-about he had 2 5 gallon pails of white paint in the open bed. When he exited and hit the gas the paint stayed behind.
Luckily the paint stayed in his lane. |

Years ago, driving to work in the early morning dusk to the Norfolk Navy Base in my '67 Camaro you had to drive down under a runway through a brief underpass and air stations are typically wind-swept at nearly all times. A small truck three cars ahead started under the runway and the bed "cap" came completely off got partially airborne and nearly took off the head of the motorcycle driver ahead of me.
To this day I that is my definition of a "charmed life". |

Happened to me once. Loaded up a full pickup bed of 2x4's, etc..Everything was fine until one traffic light and a slight incline. It turned green and I barely pressed the accelerator and the entire bed dumped out perfectly onto the road.
A couple of dudes behind me helped me quickly load all of it back into the truck with a couple of changes in loading it. I think some of it still had lots of moisture coming out of it and made it slippery |
