I used a creative metaphor when PMing a moderator recently;

"If you’ll indulge. I have a 2016 C7 (Trump) and quicksilver just got a new C8 (Biden). We are enjoying our cars together driving briskly around town, some quick 0 to 60 runs but all within respectful limits. You see a cop in the normal spots, up on the corner near the grocery store, at that dangerous four way, etc. Now imagine the same scenario with a cop at every corner, they’re going to get us for something...."

Trump was honest...BRUTALLY honest. He is a "lead, follow, or get out of the way" person and I don't get bent out of shape by that. Yeah, I cringed at a few tweets, but it's a "big picture" job. There is little he could SAY that would lose my vote. There are things he could DO that would have cost my vote and he came close twice if I recall.

Dead. Spot. On. I know several people who didn’t vote for Biden, but voted against Trump, because he’s acted like an asshole or a spoiled brat (or both at times) for four years. If he’d acted like an adult, not insulted people and called them names, and just acted halfway civil, he’d be getting inaugurated for a second term in a few days. I suspect some of his advisors told him that, which is what got them fired.

One does NOT have to be an asshole to be brutally honest and still get things done.
