Default tough decision... dump vette?
I've been a vette guy my entire life, since my uncle first took me for a ride in his '72 when I was a kid. I've owned 7, with my current being a '19 Z06 M7 with less than 9k on it. I haven't been able to drive it much because both parents have been seriously ill over the last 5 years, and I had to use the truck mostly to accomodate taking care of them. So the vette sat.

On top of that, I live in NY, and the vette sits for 6 months out of the year, and i've got a degenerative back issue that rowing the gears aggravates (not while i'm driving it, but the next day... holy jesus am i in pain)

So... considering a BMW M4 xdrive....

thoughts?

OK fine...
Seriously though; I have had a love affair with BMW since I learned to drive, but the last couple generations of their entire line leave me wanting... the newer stuff lacks soul and the electronics have become too pervasive (invasive??) for me.

yup, it doesn't get me like the vette does, but it's the closest.

Bolded is the ONLY reason I would say dump it. Shit's no fun if you are tortured after driving it. As far as not using it for a few months in winter and because of your parents, screw that reason. It's there when you want to drive it, no other justification needed.

Aw man, that's a shame when your body tells you, I can't do this shit anymore. I'd be willing to bet there is someone out there that would gladly swap out their A8 for your M7. You never know.
