What are you using for deck material?

I used PT on my first one, but it only lasted 5 years with the freezing/melting cycle every day, (south side).

We ended up building 2, 50+ foot decks made from Trex in 1994, and they still look great. Not sure if any changes have been made since then, but I doubt PT got any better.

Looking forward to the house warming party!

Same here. We used pressure treated for our decks here, but will be using Trex at the new house. I'll never used pressure treated decking again!

No house warming party, but you're welcome to stop by anytime for a cold one

On Tuesday, I'm interviewing for a job in Franklin!
I may be in your area quite a bit!

Tamworth is actually closer to Milton than Franklin is. I'm assuming you will be taking 25 to get to 93 and down to Franklin? My new house is just off the Spaulding to 75, then just a couple miles off 75. That would be a bit out of your way heading to Franklin, but if you feel like taking a detour, let me know

We go thru the area quite a bit, travelling south.

My wife and I both like driving.

I am also trying to interview in Newington. It would be a better run down Rt 16, than dealing with Meredith. I worked in Laconia for 4 yrs. and have had enough of that. Mornings are fine, but afternoons suck!

What is that post made of? looks like steel and concrete. I ask because the snow plow Pretty much destroyed the wood one we have. It's time for a new one, I've been thinking steel in a concrete footing.

And the home looks fantastic

It's solid granite. Kind of common up here, we are the granite state after all!

And thanks, I think it came out pretty good too. Just a little more to wait on now. Countertops are due the 22nd, and then plumbers can finish up. Looks like maybe a couple weeks til we move. Been in our current home for 35 years, damn do we have a lot of shit to move!
