Forum goes through these phases every once in a while. I am guessing they removed the "controversy" from the PRC title to tone the board down. Too much cleanup I would guess, that was always the word in years past when they do these purges.

Yeah, I know. If I got a perma, I certainly wouldn't be that devastated. I've had the same avatar for almost 20 years and never would have thought anyone would interpret it as political. I think it's just Chemdawg drunk with power. He got shoved around in PR&C for a lot of years. Now it's his turn.

I told Jim a while back, if the rules have changed, just post them. If you want to have a section and there are new guides, just share them. Previous mods would tell you that so you can adjust. Nothing since....

They have a few new stickies. There's one about prohibiting political avatars now. If I thought Nixon bowling was political, I would have changed it. I just wonder where the line is. Is Abe Lincoln, or George Washington political? I suppose it's like porn...they know it when the see it.

I didn't see the stickies....but based on what you say, it convinces me more that its a purge/cleanup similar to years past.

more mask madness:

just went to check the mail (about 3/5 mile away, so i drove), it's a set of postal mailboxes, about 130 total. i park on the opposite side of the road, another car pulls up next to the boxes. large lady gets out, tosses on her magic mask, checks her mail, gets back in her car. I just waited in my truck while she did this.

now it's my turn, but as i get out, another car pulls up behind where she was, also next to the mailboxes. large guy puts on his magic mask, and our paths cross as we check our mailboxes.

two random people, both think it's important to put on their magic masks when they hop out of their cars for a moment to check their mail. this is in the middle of several hundred acres of woods and very sparse development, houses are on 5-20 acre lots.

We have a “new” minor league ball team that was supposed to start this year but covid. An affiliate of the Washington Nationals that moved about 30 miles south. This is one of their logos. Give it a try. See how it goes.
