Got a ban from the children (mods) at CF

The only one that put his name down was Millennium. He sent 2 IMs and said a 1 day ban. Then a couple hours later a 3 item popped up on the now locked screen and said a 6 month ban. I do not know who sent that one!

5 years ago, yes it probably would have just been a warning. There’s plenty I would ‘like’ to say over there, and not hold back at all. It’s their forum though, and their new rules, so I try to not cross the new line they set. Sucks that they are so strict these days, but it’s their forum so whatever.

Its gotten pretty draconian - used to be you got several warnings or infractions before a major lock out - now they hand long term/permabans out like Halloween candy.....doesn't much matter the offense. After my permaban two friends got smacked down for even quoting my from past posts over there to help some newbie fix something. Talk about cancel culture.

I've been banned once for saying that someone should seek professional help. (1 month ban). I currently serve a 3 month ban for saying that someone has Tesla Derangement Syndrome (at least I assume that was the reason). My ban says that I engaged in HOSTILE posting

I never even visited any forum areas at CF other than C1-C2 and C3. I was banned about a year ago basically for challenging a mod. From what I am reading here it looks like they have gone a little ban crazy.
I still look at it daily and have noticed a substantial downturn in quality posting there. Not a lot for the knowledgeable members to comment on like it was when I was allowed to post there. Not saying I was necessarily a knowledgeable poster as I was there primarily to have my questions answered but did contribute when I had knowledge of a subject. They don’t seem to value any site loyalty there as I was a month away from being a 20 year member, a supporting member, had nearly 11,000 posts, had 3045 likes on 1933 posts and was a C1 of the year finalists in 2019 so apparently at least SOME of the members liked my contributions.
