[CFB] Week 2 2022 College Football Game Day Thread [/CFB]
WEEK 2
We learned a few things in Week 1. UGA's defense reloaded successfully and they look like the Champs. Ohio State's defense looked much improved and they shut down Notre Dame in the second half. Will we learn something about Alabama in Week 2? They failed to cover the spread BIGLY last season on the road a few times: 4OT to beat Auburn. Losing to Texas A&M. Escaping the Swamp with a W in the final seconds. Now they travel to Texas for a Noon EST kick-off against Sark and the Longhorns. Tennessee and Pitt gave us one of the great early season games last year. They face off again as ranked foes, but this time Pitt is without Pickett at QB and Tennessee is in Year 2 of Josh Heupel's high-flying offense. Can Pitt's D slow them down enough to win again? After scoring gobs last wee in a thrilling loss to UNC, App State travels to Texas A&M. Are the Aggies finally ready to compete for a title? We'll find out a lot about their defense today. Kentucky and Florida give us another Top 25 match-up. Kentucky has finally found UF's number as of late. But UF looked tough last week in a huge home win over highly ranked PAC-12 favorite Utah. Speaking of the PAC, it's probably down to USC for a playoff shot for that league. We get to see a real test for the offense tonight on the road against Stanford. BYU and Baylor face-off in a ranked match-up of Playoff dark horses. It should be another great week of college football. This Week's Notable Games:

Wow. After coming up short against UNC last week, App State is about to do it again and pull off a HUGE upset.
Beating Texas A&M on the road. Incredible. |

Great win by the Utes on Saturday. Also a good win by BYU over Baylor.

As have said numerous times, jimbo is a fraud, never did ANYTTHING at FSU but used FSU as the stepping stone for a $100+M contract, he owes Jameis everything, as without Jameis he would be a coordinator today.
gators blow, losing at home to a lesser team has no viable excuses, they just suck. bama is better that they played, they will finish underfeated, and then play GA in the SEC Championship game, and then again for the FBS Title. clemson needs to be better, their play on Saturday WAS NOT TOP 5. notre dame got beat at home by the beater team, nd is not that good, never has been as good as their fanboys and media darlings profess. scott frost is no idiot, he gets a $15M buyout and endless tee times in Florida. BTW, tell nebraska AD no one wants that crappy job. michigan, beating two girl's schools at home, with CT at home this weekend, yep, they can beat patsies, they will be out of the top ten before osu destroys them by 30 at the horseshot. When is michigan going to learn to play real teams to get better,,, |
