04 CE Right hand door sill
I have an 04 CE. If you saw one of my other threads, you'll know it was t-boned and the bottom of the door scraped the interior door sill. The interior is the two-tone shale and ????. I don't know what the ??? color is, but it is light tan. The body shop informed me that the part is discontinued. I got on the big auction site and found one that says it is shale. It arrived today and it is too dark. I don't have the car here to compare, but I have enough pics to know it is too dark.
Can anyone tell me what color I need to look for and what the part number for that color is? The seller called the one he sold me "shale" but my car is shale and this does not match. The part I have is marked: 10430854 RH BDMV EPPC ABS 97-436 LEV. 1E It also has a small sticker that reads: SEP03 3884 So what do I have and what do I need? (Part numbers) Thank you |

The two-tone colors are Shale (light) and Neutral (dark). The only C5s to use those interior colors were the 2003 50th Anniversary Edition, and the 2004 Collector Edition.
As I understand it, the shale color was the same between both, but the darker neutral color was a bit different. You probably got a piece from an 03 AE, and the only way you'll find one that matches must come from an 04 CE. What you may want to do, is contact Dennis at Double D. His business specializes in custom interior consoles, no doubt he would be aware of the color variance and likely has experience color-matching it. The sill panel you received could probably be refinished in the correct color, rather than trying to find the rare part. |

I took it to the body shop and surprisingly it was an exact match.
