i predict, based on this event, that a lot more pistol training classes will incorporate the "draw and fire one head shot from concealment" drill in the next few months. you can incorporate sitting and standing, turning around, moving sideways, but the drill will have to be passed in under 5 seconds.

as the video above explains, you can put 2-3 shots into the heart, and the guy will still have 5-10 seconds of life in him, 5-10 seconds to fight back at others.

once heard a story about a lady taking a concealed carry class, and the instructor noticed that the rest of the students were taking the obvious shots to the torso on the targets, but one lady was taking all head shots. those are harder shots to make on average, small target area. so he asked her during a break, what's with all the head shots?

well, she is a nurse, and she had seen too many people shot in the chest not die right away. she said if she's facing an attacker, she wants to be able to put them down NOW.
