The higher the rank, the stupider they are it seems. We’ve been gashed by multiple “reorganizations” and are down to bare bone. Problem is it’s all the worker bees who get stuff done who leave, retiring or taking other positions, that don’t get backfilled.

There are both good and bad officers and enlisted. Boy could I tell some stories. One LTC once told me in another life he would have hunted me down like a junkyard dog. Asshole supreme. He didn’t think I’d confront him over his BS threat. Special Forces. Go figure.

Careful some of those guys will Good and bad in all professions. I can only say from my time in that enlisted were generally better than officers. Exceptions Drill Sergeant. Some Platoon Sergeants, and a couple Sergeant Majors
