Holy hell.

Is the thermostat a known issue?

Ours set a Check Engine Light, off to the dealer for warranty work. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with it so they spent 7 hours reflashing the computer.

The 335's and 535's have computer controlled remote mounted electric water pumps, just in case you thought that it would take too long for a conventional one to fail and cost you.

I use to have to take my Mini's to the BMW dealer for service.

You know you are going to be fuked when the service tech comes out wearing a lab coat.

Dealer still hasn't called, but from some research, it is most likely the water pump.

From what I read, when the fans sound like they're spinning fast enough for liftoff, it is usually the water pump.

After a hard romp in the BMW, when I park it in the garage the fans and water pump will run for a little bit. It has caught me off guard coming back in the garage after 5 minutes and hearing the fans running.

I got the JB+, but the JB4 is high on my list.

That's the warranty deductible.

The car shut itself down. Once I would let it sit and cool, I had full power for moments.

A cam positioning sensor went on mine, and that's what happened as well.
