I disconnect the battery and treat the gas with Stabil, and put it's cover on, that's about it. Battery holds it's charge all winter usually.

Winters are generally mild here. I like to keep the red car running year round, but I don't drive it as much as I should. Stays on a battery tender and gas gets stabil with every tankful.

My turn at Poker Night here at the homestead last night. Started about 9:00pm. Ended at 6:00am, when I chased them all out.

Still haven't been to sleep. Won about a $100. Big winner walked out with a grand. 25 people total. $75 entry fee. Big fun.

They cleaned up the place before they left.

I also have about a case of mixed beers and other stuff left in the beer fridge. Win!

they contact me, want something made, not sure what. and what's your budget? they haven't thought that far either....

i don't have a pile of already made, custom projects just looking for a home. everything i make is a custom job. designed from scratch. i don't have a big pattern book with designs, cut lists, assembly diagrams. just me, my sketch pad, and some lumber and tools.

sigh.

so you want something, but don't know what? well, think about it and when you narrow it down, get back to me. i'm not going to waste my time coming up with 5 designs for you to pick thru that will never see the light of day. i'm not going to play 'bring me a rock'...'no, not those rocks, try again, i'll know it when i see it'....

well, here's the deal: i do this for fun. if dealing with you is not fun, then why should i deal with you? i don't have a collection agency, so if i burn thru $50 worth of lumber, and you say 'nah, not liking that', there is no one down the road who is going to want this. it becomes firewood. very expensive firewood. and thanks for wasting 4 days of my life. i really do have plenty of other things to do with my time. most of them don't pay me a dime (renovation work around the house), but they need to get done sometime. preferably while i'm alive.

and even if you forward me some $$$, i have the same problem: i create something just for you, you get it, don't like it, and demand a do-over for no additional money.

and speaking of money, just how much do you get paid for a week's worth of work? think i'm less talented? then why did you contact me?

think i'll go work on a jewelry box for Mrs. DAB.
