Well today I start painting, I went out and bought a spray gun There is just way too much detail on the crown moldings and doorways to do by hand. Give me a few and I'll post some pics.

Which paint gun did you get? We bought a power paint roller to do the basement ceiling and walls. Too much to do with a standard roller. We haven't tried it yet. Please do post some pics.

Yes, hopefully the spray gun will help with the molding because it takes forever to get them remotely close to being evenly painted by hand.

Great minds!!! My list seems to be getting longer and longer (no not really). Just my mom has impeccable timing...I have a project due Wednesday so I'm working on that now then I start painting!

Great minds - I agree! Our list hasn't really gotten longer, it just never gets any shorter. Good luck with your project! I hope to start painting the basement this weekend. The latest road block is we've decided we want to put can lights in and take the existing fixtures out. There's also a phone jack (the kind the phone hangs from) on the wall that's right where I want to hang the sconce I ordered last week. So now the jack has to be moved. It never ends!

Just keep telling yourself how much better it will look when you're finished. Since you will be a professional painter by the time you finish with your house, you need to come out and help us! We have a whole man cave that needs to be painted once the mudding and taping is done.

Yeah I have a couple cracks in the dining room it happened when we had to jack the house up because our kitchen and bathroom were an addition at some point in time but whoever did cut a load baring wall so in the process of making it level it cracked the plaster in the dining room so have to chip that out, someone told me to use a chaulk to fill the deepness of the crack and then put mud over it and it won't crack again...don't know if it will work but I'm thinking of trying it what could it hurt?
