Ammo starting to reappear on the store shelves [Wawmart]

Went to Wawa today for some groceries and my Magnesium with Chelated Zinc tablets, which I can't seem to find anywhere else.

Just for kicks I stopped by the ammo counter. There were about twenty boxes of Winchester .40 SW jacket hollow points, 50 count.

I got my limit of three boxes, plus a couple of boxes of 12 gauge shells. There were quite a few calibers of rifle ammo. I didn't look at them too closely.

There were also quite a few .45 ACP boxes on the shelf too. The only 9mm they had was a 500 count metal box that I believe was import surplus.

Anyone else finding ammo locally?

I haven't bought factory ammo in years, I generally roll my own. I haven't in quite a long time though, as my reloading bench is buried in my office behind, among other things, the hood of my C3.


I hear 22 is still scarce. I told a buddy that I have a bunch of Federal Bulk packs and he freaked out about it.

I saw .22lr at both walmarts I had to visit today...the first it was a stupid expensive .22lr the 2nd one, the two guys ahead of me got all the last of it.

I'm seeing reports that it's getting better, haven't been looking for so long I've kinda let it slip off my radar. .22lr is still scarce, that's for certain.

Patriots are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel; just two more years left. With an ending in sight... some of the concern is lessening.

It's like MM is implying that it's American citizenry buying up all the ammo that's creating the shortage.

He says there's a line of people there on the day the shipment arrives and it's all bought up... and these are rednecks - not federal agents. He said they don't even bother to put new stock in their ammo case anymore... until after the line ends... and if there's any rounds left over.

Granted; there are some calibers that are in high demand, and in short supply.

.45, .40 & 9mm are always available around here.

This is exactly what I have been hearing on other forums, it's not the .gov buying it up, it's us!

Hell, I even found 22lr at Academy. 50rd box's, 2 box limit. Better than nothing....

Since around Christmas time most of the rounds, 9mm 45 and even .223 or 5.56 have been available at my parents walmart.

Just recently moved and moving my ammo was probably the heaviest thing I had to move other then a queen size mattress that is double coil individual pocketed springs with memory foam.
