Surprisingly, I don’t have deer around. They’re everywhere else but I haven’t seen any around the house.

That's because you have large cats that keep the deer population at bay. We have summer residents who think that they are cute, so feed them, are not hunters, whine about hunting, and the deer starve during the winter.

And if you have any good stuff for sell, maybe you should list it here sooner, rather than later.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, brings up a very different vibe than a kids song.

Probably. He seems to keep the gophers away. The grey squirrels and ground squirrels seem to be too fast for him. But that’s fine. It’s really only the gophers that are tearing up my plants. I have to have gopher cages for everything I plant in the ground.

Only the hawks leave a mess. Feathers or fur everywhere. Jerks.

This summer, I have a few water features going in. Running water will probably bring some friends around. Maybe I’ll set up a game camera next to them.

We have a lot of part timers and AirBnB’ers, as well. Sometimes they still think they’re in the city.

We have snow-birders here in FLA that feed the alligators. Neighbor's uncle visited next door from NY and said he's gonna throw a "chicken neck" into our lake to get the alligators to come around for pictures. I told him I'd call wildlife officers on his dumb ass. I have to get in that water sometimes for pier repairs, to remove invasive vegetation or work on the boat.

Dumb MF..

Beautiful animal! I've taken home so many critters over the years but none can stay for very long.

Would be cool to have a 1000 acre sanctuary for a home where they could all hang as long as they followed the rules of no fukkin' with each other.

It's fun to live out here and hear all the Karens say "you can't have bird feeders" because it attracts bears. Well, no shit. That's why they are out there.

Leave the wild things to the wilderness. back in the 60s I was friends with a guy that thought it was cute to ride his Harley with his pet racoon on his shoulder (no helmet law back in Virginia then). One day he came into my work with his head swathed in bandages and a swollen face. He had to lay the bike down to avoid an accident and the racoon tore his ass up - big time.

We heard a "ba-bump" sound on the front deck one night while we were watching the tube and I turned on the light and looked through the side lights. It was a juvenile black bear. I have to admit I was rather temped to open up the door and say hello.

And here I thought that juvenile bear suit I had rented didn't look realistic enough!
