I again 100% disagree. You are making the assumption that most car buyers have the same mindset as yourself. As long as we are a capitalist society EV’s will never take over the ICE cars.

LOL, not even close. What little credibility you had just left the building. I worked there. It's a long ugly story how the containment building got cracked, but it would cost way MORE to repair it and get it relicensed by the NRC than building a new one, which is why Duke Power decided to permanently shut it down. And, since accelerated decommissioning has already started and the majority of all major components of the Reactor Cooling System have been removed, packaged, shipped off-site by rail, and disposed of, there's no "repairing" CR3 and getting it back on line, that ship sailed long ago.

I'm talking about cars, not Semi Trucks. Yes, diesel Semi trucks will be around longer.
There is no reason I can think of why most new car buyers will choose low maintenance EVs over a high maintenance, expensive to fuel ICE VEHICLE.

Because you can buy a Honda Accord for 30 grand that gets 30+ mpg's or a Civic for 25K that gets 40 mpg's.

And the masses are budget conscious and will NEVER spend twice as much for an EV unless they are brain dead and think that they are saving the planet.
