Default What cam and heads you runnin?

I got tired of seeing my stupid lid question at the top so let's try something new.

What cam and heads are you running in your Vette and seen as how not everyone out there runs a LS1 you better put what motor it's in as well.

I personally have a Texas Speed cam 232/234 .595/.598 113LSA in and LS1 with Ported 243 heads from Advanced Induction with PAC springs.

WCCH Stage 3 L92's. 2.20 inch intake and flow 380CFM.

Darton sleeved LS2 block 427CI.

Cam is not for discussion but it would be considered a mid-size cam in an LS1.

I was wondering why some shops won't give out the specs on stuff like cams and heads. Did they at least tell you what it was or do they just say "trust us, you won't be disappointed"? They wouldn't give me much info about my heads when they did them (same shop).

Nothing has ever gone in my car with my knowing exactly what it is and approving it. I have considerable engine building experience myself - although in GP motorcycles - so I can have involved conversations with the boys. Most people would be better served to find someone they trust who has a great reputation and letting them do their thing. VA Speed spent a huge amount of their own time on R&D on my build. I'm hoping they can recover some of their costs. Shawn has made my build one of their standard package offerings (starting at $15k) .

Yellow Z06 that Paul now owns has a G5-X2 (232/240 .595/.608 114LSA) w/ stock heads.

The red vert is stock as GM made it.

The silver Z06 has stock heads/cam as well but with 2002-2004 valve springs, a LS2 timing chain, and an ATI 10% underdrive Superdamper.

Stock for Now. Will be a Mod in the near future! If not a whole new rebuild?
