I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 through Straightalk. I also have a laptop. How can I use the laptop through the phone data connection? I need to access a business website that has images that are too small for my phone.

Some phones have tehering enabled or can be... Turning your phone into a hotspot.
You can usually pay for tether usage also, depending on plan.
I use Pdanet /foxfi for usb tehering to a laptop. Paid version only one worth anything. Doesn't work on all phones either.

Does it say tethering or hotspot?

Does your plan include it? Most plans do not as it is an added feature.

Ok, I can help with that. Cell phones usually come with what is called a charger. If you don't have one, go to walmart and buy one. You plug it into a wall outlet and plug the little wire in the bottom of your cellpone. After awhile, you will be good to go.

Prepaid providers typically issue modified phones with some features (such as hotspot) removed.

With monthly service providers, hotspot is usually an extra cost option, so even if the phone itself has the capability, tethering still won't work until the option is enabled by the provider.



Easiest solution: Just take the laptop to a McDonald's or Starbucks and use their WiFi.

My cell is fine. The battery back-up I had my laptop plugged into is dead. The surge side works, but the battery side is dead.
