I actually met and talked to Robert Plant here in Joplin about 15 years ago, maybe longer. He was doing a concert here and about three hours before it started I was buying my ticket and trying to score a backstage pass, was told to go talk to some guy around by the back of the building. As I walked back there Robert came out of his tour bus and I said "Hey, I should probably be asking you about that backstage pass instead of that Rick guy." He chuckled at that and said "Rick, we got any more passes left?" Rick gave me one and I talked to him for a minute or so and hopefully didn't make too much of a douche out of myself as I told him I was, of course, a huge Zepplin fan. He said that they were going to do a reunion tour that next year. My jaw about hit the floor and sure enough, they did that Unledded Tour that next year, about 1997 or so. I went to the show in Kansas City and it was fcuking awesome. Seeing the Kansas City Philharmonic back up Paige and Plant doing Kashmir was incredible.

Oh, and I got to the concert in Joplin a little late and they wouldn't let me backstage even with my pass. Apparently all that backstage pass got you was backstage before the concert, at which point you had to go to the floor. I did get to stand in the front row at least.
