Mom hung up on me

I call Mom at least once a week. We both know our political sides and don't go down that rabbit hole. Tonight she brought up the "Nextdoor" website which I watch to keep up on my neighborhood. I told her I don't post on there because I get crap from people about my views on stuff, said the the last thing I posted was about "Commifornia" and I took a bunch of shit over it on the site, she went into a tizzy calling me a right wing nut and hung up.

Sorry to hear. I'm somewhat in the same boat with my wife who I love dearly, but we respect each others political views. I listen to both sides, but she refuses to hear a conservative site or opinion.

With your mom, I'm sure it will pass.

Meh, she'll get over it. I couldn't imagine being married to a wife with different views like that.

Time before that post on Nextdoor I posted something on the mass shooting subject saying those screw loose people need to be chained to a bed somewhere. Boy howdy did I get a response on there from that one...

I don't even speak to my parents anymore. I have nothing in common with them other than DNA. They're sheep. Fell victim to the propaganda, and I failed to break them free. So it's a lost cause now. They both took the vax, so we'll see how long they last. It's likely their days are now numbered as they both have underlying health issues.

A majority of those people lived on or at the Mason-Dixon Line, and were told which side they fought on.

But I would give anything to have a real conversation with my mom nowadays as she has dementia and its under control from meds but its not her anymore.
