Last time I got drunk was gin. So that was like 10 years ago. Learned my lesson. Worst hangover evar! But it was one hell of a buzz.

Oh, and I only drank half the bottle.. Tanqueray, the other half is still sitting here

Not a fan of Gin. It was the earliest recollection of sneaking parent's booze out of the house and had a based my future on that one event, I would have never touched alcohol again. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't drinking my mother's perfume.

If you have only drank stuff like Tanqueray, you may be startled. The juniper is heavy. Maybe start with soda or tonic and work your way in. Sapphire is not terribly herbal, but the Hendricks is the real deal.

Yeah, like Islay scotch it's an acquired taste. I still don't drink Hendrick's straight very often, but there are times...
