Default 44 pounds and counting

Before picture is Sept 23, 2020, 325 pounds. I was still in that weight range in February of this year.

Started getting serious about calorie intake, and have been extremely religious. Today, 281 pounds...down 44. Shooting for my marathon weight of 260. Like a dumbass, I tried to look skinny in the first picture. Today's picture is the first I've had since 2015, or even way before, where I have a defined chin, and a skinnier neck. Just tired of being fat.

You look healthy in both pics; but your heart will like the lower weight.

Good for you! I'm down around 85-90. My peak weight was 264, currently about 170-175.

I really don't understand weight gain......I been 6'5" and 225 for decades, and at age 77 of course my height is a couple inches shorter and weight is off maybe ten lbs......IF I could get uncle arthurongus to leave me alone I be ok.....

every fat person I have ever observed eats a TON of food....which is an obvious observation.......this AM I had a small slice of cake, and some orange juice 12 oz glass......lunch was some ham and cheese with musturd on bread....woopie doo.....

wife's daughter needs loose 150 lbs.....

You clearly have good genetics. I'm glad I'm 6'5" too, as that helps mask the weight, but I was still extremely fluffy. If I don't make lifestyle changes, the weight will return.

Not only will my heart thank me, but my knees and ankles are thanking me. 45 years of playing racquetball has a way of tearing up these joints...and being fat makes it worse.

I eat one meal a day. Nothing outrageous. Last night: chix breast, zucchini and a small scoop of mac and cheese. I still am overweight. I don't understand it either.

Worked with a guy only ate once a day, dr told him body stored all the fat since he ate once a day. He weighed alot more than me yet ate less.
I eat several times a day, not much for breakfast, lunch early then usually 2 small dinners. Can't keep weight on. My body reacts badly to eating too much anyway so I tend to under eat. If I hit 225 I wouldn't be able to walk but I'm not 6 5 either.

I do. I love the taste of some foods and I want to enjoy it until it's gone.
I should eat a slice or two of pizza, but I can eat a whole one without hesitation.

I should eat 4 or 5 Oreos, but I'll eat a whole row with milk.

It's very easy.

there is a rule-of-thumb...

with no additional exercise, for every 100 lbs of weight...you'd need to eat 1000 calories just to maintain (not lose - nor gain).

So, a person weighing 400 lbs HAS TO eat 4000 calories each day just to maintain that 400 lb weight. If they were to limit their intake to just 3000 calories a day, they would (over time ) reduce down to 300lbs.

I know, I know; easy to say... but not easy to do.
