Apparently, one child is a boy, and the other is a girl. They also mention the "mothers", so it sounds like two different women carried the children.

Since I was a young man, I never had any problem with gay people. I believe it really is a part of the human condition, that gay people are born the way they are, and if they don't like it, there really isn't anything they can do about it. Kind of like someone born with dwarfism. They are short, that's just the way God made them, and if they don't like it, they are powerless to change it. So why bust on them, or give them shit about being short in any way? There is no reason.

I am also a "consenting adults behind closed doors" kind of person. I don't want anyone sticking their nose into the goings on in my bedroom between my wife and I, and I am equally uninterested in sticking my nose into what is going on in anyone else's bedroom, so long as we are talking about consenting adults.

Also, although I admit to being a staunch fiscal conservative, I have never been a part of either political party, because I also admit to being socially very liberal.

All that said, I have never been comfortable with gay couples adopting children for the simple reason that it drags a non-consenting non-adult into the gay relationship. Trust me, I've heard all the specious arguments about a straight couple who are unable to conceive on their own adopting, and how is that different? It is different because they would likely conceive on their own if they could. You can pick that apart if you will, but it seems to me that being gay has its own realities, one of which is you can't have children. I think gay people should just accept that as part of who they are.

In some cases yes. In some cases, it could be some reaction to trauma or some external influence. I think it is a mix of both.
