So help me...people are ****ing clueless. $100 per person at a high end steakhouse??? Pfffftttt....easy. Two steaks, a few sides, maybe an appetizer and a few glasses of good wine and you're there with no problem. There are several around town here: Capital Grille, Del Frisco's, Ruth's Chris, Perry's, Old Warsaw. Anytime I go to dinner there I expect to pay $200+ without even thinking about it. Ruth's Chris sponsors "Wine Dinners" where they have a vintner come down and pair a different wine with several courses. That'll run you over 4 bills.

If you can't afford to go to an expensive restaurant, there are thousands of McDonald's franchises all over the country who would be happy to feed you for a much more reasonable price.

I will pay for good food, and tip well for good service. With that said I do not drink much any more and on rare occasions the wife will have a couple Zinfandels so that keeps our bills down.
From close to being a alcoholic I now drink about 5-6 drinks a year MAX. Special occasions like birthdays, anniversary's ETC. The most I will have is 2 at one occasion, most times just one! Been that way for close to 25 years! |

One of the local clubs here proposed a dress code for folks a few years ago.
"No backward ball caps, visors, do-rags or skull caps, plain white tee shirts, sleeveless shirts, ripped or torn pants, cut-offs on men, jerseys unless its game day or sports promotion, excessively long shirts below the bottom of back pockets, loose or baggy clothing, gym clothes including running/track suits or sweat pants, hooded sweatshirts, excessively long shirts below the knees, biker or gang colors, construction/combat shoes or boots, oversized chains, excessive jewelry, sunglasses after dark, clothing with offensive or foul messages, and see through or revealing clothing on women No back packs, gym bags or duffel bags allowed to be carried in." Lasted five days. Social media screaming "racist". |
