That thing is awful. How many Slash models do we have now? At least three? And you know what's hilarious? The Appetite LP was a copy. Not even the real deal.

I am not wild about the color at all...

I just bought a like new 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional in Tobacco Sunburst, I always wanted one, could never justify the price. After my buddies dad (and my first guitar instructor) passed away, my buddy hooked me up with one of his for a very reasonable price (1k)

Nicest guitar I have ever owned for sure.

I'm just getting back into playing after a several year hiatus. I am running a cheapo Bugera Tube amp right now, it's fine for my purposes right now, but it's small and very muddy. I regret selling my old Ampeg Reverbrocket back in the day, that was a wonderful little tube amp.

So, I am contemplating amps. I am thinking probably a Tweed Blues Jr most likely. My focus is primarily Jazz and Blues, so I may end up swapping tubes to gain some headroom. I like playing clean, and apparently those amps break up pretty quick.

I plugged into a friends vintage 60's Fender Princeton Reverb this afternoon, and the tone was out of this world cool. Now THAT is a cool amplifier.

Those Princetons are drippping with Fender tonez. The Smoke solo posted today was through a Friedman. If you're a fan or hot rodded Marshalls, you'll love Friedman. They clean up just OK. Nothing like a Fender.

Hmm, interesting. I'll look into that for sure, but the clean tones are really important to me. I guess one of the classic combos would be either a Les Paul or Strat through a Fender Twin, but I really don't need anything that big. Something tube with a 12 inch speaker should work for my purposes...

I've even thought about a Roland Jazz Chorus as those amps are well known for their clean tones, and they have a loyal following, but I just lack interest in Solid State amplifiers...They just lack soul.
