Razor knife, hose clamps, extra fluids (oil, a-freeze, brakes etc)
Roll of paper towels
Carpet pad to lay on
Hand crank powered light
zip ties, coat hanger
Torx bits, extensions, swivels etc

Lots more depending on your skill level but when we do cross country runs like Hot Rod Power Tour, the little things people don't think to pack are the ones you'll almost certainly need.

Sucks to break down in the dark and only need 1 fuse you didn't pack.

That set is complete junk, you just bought a dollar store set.
Nothing Powerbuilt is worth anything.
You might want to cancel or return and continue your search.

Thanks for your advice. I especially appreciate the alternative that you thoughtfully presented.

For your Macan, all you need is a good DVOM, spare fuses, some spare wire, heat shrink, and a battery powered soldering iron.

Everything else that could go wrong mechanically call for a tool kit consisting of a cyanide pill and a rusty can of beer to wash it down with.

Seriously, when I am going on off road or long trips in my Toyotas, I take a handful of my Snap-On tools: a 12mm14mm double box wrench, a 10-11 mm DB wrench, a crescent wrench, two stubby screwdrivers, Phillips and slot, side cutters, and a medium channel lock pliers. All can be wrapped in a single shop towel, secured with rubber bands and thrown under the seat. When I get back, they go back in the box. I take a roll of duct tape, zip ties, a couple of hose clamps, and that's it. Nothing like digging through a large kit of poorly made and mostly useless tools only to find out on first use that the fastener you got one shot at is now buggered from the tool.

Any decent socket set with a plier kit, hammer and good screwdrivers will suffice.
Kobalt, Stanley, Craftsman all a good choice.
I prefer a tool bag to chuck them in as plenty of room and always think of something else.
Electrical tape, zip ties, flashlight, rags, etc all get thrown on during any trip i take.

You like living on the edge, that's for sure!

I remember in 1989 seeing a 1987 Yugo in Walnut Creek California with Colorado plates. I was blown away. Some folks just have brass balls.

I've never needed much more than a roll of duct tape, a tarp, a hatchet, a shovel, and a bag of lime.

You actually compared the best car manufacturer in the world with the worst.

Been known to do that as well.

But, generally speaking, barn lime is cheap and I always have a few bags around.

You need to step up your game. I have friends with trackhoes that can dig to 19', well beyond cadaver dog range.

I have a river as a property line. Perhaps I should consider an industrial wood chipper.

Not a good idea. #1 way too much work. When I lived in Upstate NY a guy disposed of two little girls that he kidnapped, raped and killed using that method. He spread the remains down miles of dirt roads. When the deputies caught up with him, he confessed immediately and they shot him dead right then and there.
