I forgot where I got the cheap, small tool set I have in my Vette. They are crappy but if ever stranded on the side of the road it's better that a rock and twigg.
The one thing none of my cars are without is a emergency bag. It has flashlights, tow rope, emergency water supply, thermal blanket, first aid kit, reflective triangles etc. etc. Don't leave home without it.

When much younger and working part time in my buddies speed shop/garage I always carried a small tool kit and a few other items. Fuzzes. fan belt, couple different light bulbs.

Now I just carry my AAA card, credit cards and a good Leatherman.-

Hell at my age and after a few surgeries I cannot even change a tire!

No need for tools. I don't drive a German or European car. My trucks are Toyotas and my cars are 1960's GM with points and carburetors. Haven't had a tow in over 40 years.

In your case, driving German and Italian cars, I would concentrate heavily on electrical repair items....like wiring harnesses, fuseable links, fuses, fire extinguishers, and a SAT phone.

Great way to ruin a tire and make it un-patchable when you make it into town. Either put on the spare or plug it. That slime is terrible.

You'll be driving that T-bird long after that Macan of yours has been turned into toasters and washing machines.

The guy that sold me my '83 Toyota 4x4 in 1992 did so to buy a brand new Ford Escort station wagon. Guess which one is still on the road?

Got more miles on the Macan. It's approaching 100k.
