Default Travel tool set
I'm finishing up on a ten day road trip, remembering the frustrations of not having the right tool. Fixing shit at my MIL's involved hours of hunting down tools, or attempting to fix with the wrong one. Been thinking of getting this for travel.

Worth every penny to have a kit like that on the road. And I add about 5X more tools and compressor and jack and etc…

Those big combo tool kits are really helpful but I also have an extra case of goodies.

I have it written down somewhere but off the top of my head I've needed to also have:

Electric supplies - extra wire, test meter, tape, crimps, fuses etc
Razor knife, hose clamps, extra fluids (oil, a-freeze, brakes etc)
Roll of paper towels
Carpet pad to lay on
Hand crank powered light
zip ties, coat hanger
Torx bits, extensions, swivels etc

Lots more depending on your skill level but when we do cross country runs like Hot Rod Power Tour, the little things people don't think to pack are the ones you'll almost certainly need.

Sucks to break down in the dark and only need 1 fuse you didn't pack.
