I’ll give you an interesting analysis, historically (for years) 99% of the time the last post on the last front page thread over at CF is from the day before, usually around afternoon. And the front page has 50 threads. Here usually the last post from the last thread on the front page is three days old. And the front page at the barn has 30 threads.

Statistically it may not have changed much, but the "feel" of the forum has. The back and fourth ball busting is still there, although much less frequent. The number of regular posters is also declining.

Fair enough, but your analysis sounds much more like a subjective feel, and mine uses an objective metric I’ve used at both forums for years. We certainly have seen a decline in regular posters, as many have become permabanned. And regulars always come and go, that’s been the natural ebb and flow of OT for the last 15 years.

You may disagree with the methodology, but the metric is not wrong. I’ve been tracking it for numerous years.

All a “very noticeable change” tells me is you have a subjective feeling of how things have changed, of course like I said there’s always a natural ebb and flow at CFOT, some people come, some people go, some people get permanently banned, but in general it’s just as active as it’s ever been, and this is proven by the metric I’ve been using for years.

Look back on my discussion, I’m not debating moderation. I’m simply addressing activity of CFOT versus here. You’ve thoroughly convinced me I will never change your opinion, and many others, on any aspects of the moderation, and I certainly did not try to do that in this thread.
