You don't put cat food in a urn.

I agree....I have a lot of riding buds with apes and never heard one complaint about numbnes....Im sure if it is felt, it is because of being out of shape or other medical issues. I rode my bike all day today and NEVER experienced any "numbness". In fact, it was one of the most comfortable rides Ive ever had....

Damn...I love this bike... Had a slight warm up today so took it for a quick ride around the neighborhood. Karen on the corner said it was too loud....

APE hangers are like having power steering compared to short bars. Of course there is a lot of factors besides just the height.
Width, sweep pull back, grip angle, diameter of the grips, etc. all play a factor in comfort or numbness

Obviously ridiculously too tall of bars had nothing to do with comfort

This is my first bike (of many) that has had "apes". These are only 14" not too tall, and I absolutely love them! I think this is gonna be one of my favorite bikes....

I like it but I gotta tell ya - those white grips would have to go ASAP. They're ALWAYS going to look dirty.

I run Carlini Gangster Apes. This manufacture's bars run really high. When I had my 18's on they were everyones else's 20's. They're also pretty wide at 41" and not a lot of pullback at 7".

Chubby (A very popular Ape) 14" Apes are 36-1/2" wide with a 10" pullback.
