Yep, you can get 16 years of primary education monies from the average student, two years longer than if they graduated on time.

Then, when you keep them in the system you have classrooms with lower than 10:1 teacher-to-student ratios, which increases teachers, in turn increasing union dues collected.

THEN, you have to hire MOAR special education teachers AND counselors, which again is more union revenue.

And lastly, you count heads by end of the second week of school and give these number to those who allocate the $15+K/year based on head count.

Of course 50% of these kids 'may' have showed up for one day of the first ten days of schools, and even more will never return after the first month.

pubic schools ONLY exist to be the #1 financial contributor to the non-American socialist party.

Reparations have been paid since the 1800s.
I can do the math to show these reparations were overpaid, and the taxpayers, as of today, are owed at least $999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999.
My simple math is based on monies allocated vs. NET monies paid in taxes.

Most metro areas, like philly, dc, baltimore, etc... have received then STOLEN tens of $$$$$$$$$$TRILLIONS$$$$$$$$$$ of fed, state, county & city monies since the 1940s, and each year the theft becomes greater.

I would gladly pay the lump sum reparations some are requesting PROVIDED I get a refund for all the reparations previously paid--I could buy TWO vacation homes.

I will predict once, NOT IF, reparations are paid for slavery, there will be:

1) second round of payments, as first was not enough, this one will be for compounding interest which will 10X more that first reparation
2) then another reparation bill for pyschological damage
3) then another reparation bill for desroying family structure
4) then another reparation bill for education discrimination
5) then another reparation bill for societal damage
6) then another reparation bill for disallowance of professional careers
7) then another reparation bill for lifetime lost income due to prejudices
8) then another reparation bill for discrimination in housing sector
9) then another reparation bill for two-tier justice system
10) I could list at least a 100 more

TOTAL of above reparations will easily exceed $$$$500T$$$$
