Default Hey guys, computer ???

Old HP win7 machine, new 32" monitor, RGB adapter to the new HDMI? input....this monitor is a Best Buy Insignia brand.....and so when the computer feels lonely, it wants to shut down....

being as it's a LED screen in the DIM/brightness setting, they call it backlight....I want to keep the computer from turning off/shutting down....

so instead of cutting off the monitor, to let the computer shut down the ethernet cable instead, ie....disconnect from the .net so to reduce the time for the idiots have to mess with my machine......

Like windoze this morning, they went blue screen right in the middle of something took over the machine, warning to not shut down....screw THAT!!! turned off the power, waited a minit, and it came back on with the blue update screen, I tried it again, same shit, hit the reset button, same shit....pissed me off but I forced to let them have their way.....bastards, don't update my DAMN MACHINE, it's slow enough already.....

so how to achieve the above??

For some odd reason, THIS is the only stable site on the machine.....right now I just shut down FF and have only two tabs open FB and here.....

but CF is all over the map with that new 'updated' crap format change....USED to run smooth as here......but no longer, on any browser....

email seems messed up too, very erratic in response to mouse commands....

I don't know how else to describe it man, sorry.....it's like the hard drive is all the time wirring and clacking, when nothing is going on.....like the machine is diverted to doing anything else BUT what I want....I have Malware Bites, and whatever MSFT has forced the machine to take on.....

ok 2 things:

1) download and run ccleaner
2) download and run malwarebytes

if you need help with that let me know.

let me know when you're done. And then we'll move on to other fixes.

cool! glad it helped.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

now that you've got it running better, try this as well to make sure that the operating system isn't corrupt, This will repair it.

How to Run Sfc /scannow command in Windows 7 - YouTube
If you do this command, you need to run it as an admin:

To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then right-click Run as administrator. ... The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
