Got home today and saw a notice on my front door. It said "sorry we missed you" 2nd attempt from "home Delivery service" it had three phone numbers. One for Dallas, Houston and Austin and a reference number.

So I jump on Google and none of the numbers come up. I keep digging and find that the web site is owned by a company called Geotrek and they are involved in a scam where they scope out houses for burglaries.

I noted on my security cam my wife left at 3:02 pm and they drive up at 3:06 pm only stopping at my house. Black guy, late 20's, 5' 9".

Either a coincidence or they were watching and used the note to check if we were home.

I called my buddies at the police dept. they took a report.

I told the cop they could have picked a softer target. He laughed and agreed.

Between the dogs, cameras, lights, nosey neighbors and me answering the door armed, the cop didn't seem too worried.

Idiots gonna get shot 'round here.

8-9 years ago, I noticed a car driving slowly up and down the road, about 5pm...he didnt get out anywhere, just..kept going down to the end, turning around coming back...

After about 15 minutes of this, he stops across the road, and gets out...starts walking towards my neighbors house...as he does, my other neighbor, who was a Police Sargeant at the time, rolls up in his cruiser, coming home...I looked up, mofo was back in his car and getting the fk out...didnt click until later, i called the neighbor and told him, he said he had gotten the guys plate number and had already called it in...lol Dont know what became of it...but t was nice having a cop neighbor.

Someone broke in to my parents house last week. Stole 3 laptops, my mom's cell that she just got replaced because someone at work stole it, and coins.

Really a pillowcase? What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you know that it is against his rights and could seriously cause unwanted results? If you are going to do it use a plastic bag and just to make sure it doesn't get knocked off so use duct tape to hold it on. Oh and I'm sure his $200 shoes will need new shoelaces so zip ties can be used instead of shoestrings. I find if I tie one shoe to the other using zip ties the shoes stay tied all day. You're welcome

Good points. I figured a pillow case was opaque so he wouldn't see the billiard balls coming. But I like your line of thinking.

No drama today. Seems we scared him off. Hope he comes back. We have a party planned for him.
