This is the best way to describe the debate. She's calm and very practiced. But she's a shit show with just about anything else.

Hah, well Trump did fine and Hillary caught major incoming. For those who didn't watch or don't pay attention, Trump did fine. For those who wanted Hillary to win, she stayed smug, her meds were on point! Nobody, ever, had that self control of the body with onset Parkinsons. She really nailed that part.

Out of curiosity, why is this thread "official", and isn't it inherently a thread? .... Sorry, but I think the thread title is a huge fail.

I only saw Hillary shake once. She did well. Trump interrupting her constantly early on made him look unstatesmanlike. He toned it down, and held his own, but he really didn't go for the jugular in many areas. She was the more polished of the two, even if she babbled BS most of the night.

100 points Trump, 94 points Clinton. Official score, extra special. Trump gets bonus points for texture, spiciness, and flavor. Clinton loses points for Parkinson's syndrome and condescension. But all is not lost. Turns out Hillary is also a bitch. Life is unfair sometimes.

She has the smug bitch act down pat. Every time she smiled seemed a mixture of condescending and fake.

The critical point is that the Trump haters don't watch anything else he does. This is their only true exposure to him and he lived up to their image of him. He needs to play to HER audience. He already has the sensible people.

I turned it off after five minutes of that asshole interrupting Clinton over and over and over. He showed his true metal.....he's an obnoxious bully. I can't imagine him in any kind of diplomatic scenario with other world leaders. Third world politician at best.

I think, unlike traditional debates, each candidate has to accomplish only one goal to "win."

Hillary has to convince voters she's actually somewhat trustworthy (no one doubts her knowledge or experience).

Trump has to prove that he really isn't crazy.

Whichever candidate did the best job on these two points "won" the debate. The polls will tell us shortly.

That's about right, trump missed quite a few opportunities to hit on her trust worthiness, while his deep in the weeds rambling at times did nothing to quell the crazy

All of the polls thus far point to Trump winning.

Which, in my opinion, just proves that the debate established nothing. People have already made up their minds.

I didn't watch, but for the sake of the Supreme Court, Immigration and my 2nd Amendment rights, I am voting for Trump.

In short, my mind was made up a LONG time ago.

I think we'd be better off with either of the Vice Presidential candidates running the country than we will with either of the Presidential candidates.

There is a reason he "held off" on this subject. With info coming out almost daily now about Hillary emails, Clinton Fountation, health issues... I think Trump doesn't need to drive this point home, it can very well happen on its own. If nothing comes of it, there are two more debates scheduled; plenty of time to bring it up then.

Lester Holt asked Trump 42 special and followup questions. He asked Hillary 2. Hillary told four "jokes" and the audience was allowed to laugh. Trump fired off a zinger and Holt disciplined the audience. Hillary was not asked any questions about her email server, Benghazi, her health issues, or the Clinton Foundation. Yet Trump was grilled about supposedly lying about his anti-war stance on Iraq, his "birtherism" (which started with Hillary's people), his supposed maltreatment of women, and his taxes.

Trump had to bring these things up himself while fighting off a two-on-one full-on attack. Him interrupting the lying psychopath was the most satisfying part of the entire evening.

Also at the end of the debate, a "cleaner" walked over to Hillary's podium, grabbed her notes while Trump and Hillary were sorta shaking hands, and apparently handed her notes to Holt. Just WTF was that? I guess so that nobody could see that she had all the questions he was going to ask, and the order they were in, right there in front of her along with prepared responses. Nah, democrat operatives with bylines would never do that.

Craig, you've been dead wrong this entire campaign season. I don't see any reason for you to stop now.

Go to 1:35:30 and watch for about 30 seconds. Note the guy that grabs Hillary's notes, and then watch him head straight over to Lester Holt at the end and begin to hand them to him.
