Default Say "Cheese" - America's cheese stockpile now at 1.385 billion pounds

so we have that going for us.

https://www.wxyz.com/news/america-ha...billion-pounds

Quote:
(WXYZ) - America's stockpile of cheese is at its highest in more than 100 years, according to the United States Department of Agriculture.

According to a report on cold storage from the USDA, America has 1.385 billion pounds o cheese in its stockpile, the highest since records started being taken in August 1917.

The report found that the East North Central region of the United States has the highest stock of natural cheese for American and other cheese, with 339 million pounds of American cheese and 374 million pounds of other cheese.

According to the Washington Post, the cheese stockpile is so high because there's too much milk on hand for processors, and milk is more easily stored as cheese. Combine that wil school being out and cows being more productive, you get the record number.

The lowest stockpile of cheese came in 1918, according to the USDA, where there was just over 23 million pounds of cheese.
sadly, you can't shoot cheese at enemies, nor can you use it to fuel planes, trains, and automobiles. but you could make the world's largest dish of nachos!

or fondue!!!! goovy man.....

We typically have cheddar, provolone, and Havarti slices and shredded mozzarella and Mexican blend from Costco. Just doing our part.

1,385,000,000 pounds of cheese / 326,766,748 people in US = 4.2385 pounds per person.

important question: what is our strategic cracker/dorito supply looking like? and how about the wine (cheese, cracker, wine) or beer (nachos and beer)?

have to keep these things in balance.

The price of it in stores sure doesn't indicate that.

They used to give out blocks of cheese to needy families in the 70's. Maybe they should do that again. Cheese is a healthy food. Better than giving them cash to buy booze and strippers.

Velveeta? Velveeta isn't cheese. It's a "cheese product."

I struggle buying enough for myself, I don’t want my tax dollars being spent on buying it for others, unless I can benefit too.

We have a separate cheese drawer in the fridge.

My wife is always switching it up so we don't get bored.

I love taking it along for lunch to have with an apple.

Known colloquially as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_cheese.

They distributed it to the senior citizen apartments my grandma lived at. It was an unbelievably big-ass fuckin' hunk of cheese. There was no way an old lady would consume that much cheese in 3 years, so she would cut off a small chunk and give the rest to us. I flat out refused to eat it. Not because of principle since a 16-year-old horndog has no principles. I just figured since it came from the government and was free that there was something wrong with it such as being contaminated either by radiation or a federal employee wiping his/her ass on it. Homey here wasn't diggin' it.

So one day I am eating a grilled cheese sandwich my mom had made for me and it was the best grilled cheese sandwich I ever ate. I asked what was different about it. Bigger than shit, mom had snuck that Government Cheese on it. I was an instant convert. I wasn't even mad as mom smirked. I just wanted another one of those Government Cheese grilled sammys.
