I have access to an elevated position overlooking the showroom and all entry points that extends beyond the effective range of a pistol or shotgun. Pile the bastards up at the door.

Back in the mid 90s, I was helping my friend Roger with his gun shop. At the time, I was carrying my GP100 on my hip in the store.

I had way too many choices of semi autos to choice from. I asked Roger what he thought I should get.

He patted his hip on his 1911 and said "This is exactly what you want. Proven design used in two world wars plus Korea and Vietnam. Makes a nice big hole too."

"Plus, if you empty your mag and don't have time to put in another mag, you can beat the bad guy with it and when you're done with him, then you put a mag in it and it will work just fine"
