The LA station I use to listen to was KMET, but then their programming changed in 1987. Now its called "The Wave". By the late 70's, must music stations took away the DJ's ability to play what they wanted. Now its all based on demographics and prerecorded content. That is why you won't hear any new artists, because its all controlled by music corporations that know better what to play. They can kiss me where the sun don't shine

For me going to work, as soon as I leave Hemet and on my way to Temecula, I change the station to 103.3:
Q103.3 - Temecula Valley's Rock Q1033

We got a free trial of Sirius radio. I'm not a real big fan of music while driving but the wife does. Not that I don't enjoy it, I just don't turn it on while working so I don't miss calls. Anyway, they started calling us a month ago to get us to sign up but they didn't just call once or twice. They would call 5 times a day every day. We finally told them to take us off their calling list and that still didn't stop it. We were really wanting to sign up on the Camaro but by the time they got through with their BS we were pissed and told the to go to hell.

Since KNAC closed down in 1995 Southern California has never been the same. I still have few bumper stickers and one on my DD now. They played hair, trash metal, Metallica, grudge, and current rock songs at that time. You could listen to KNAC 24/7. The 105.3 San Diego Rock is the closest it is in SoCal since April 1996.

Bill, Sirius is great to have. They have all types of music, talk shows, NASCAR, games etc etc. I got Sirius since 2005 and bought the lifetime subscription.

Yeah we really started to like it. Who knows we may give it a while and sign up again. They have some real nasty habits though.

don't even get me started on the high pressure sales tactics. They (XM) even sent a real (looking) collection notice on my expired service for another car. Funny thing is they forgot to turn off the service even after I cancelled it twice. the 08 vette just keeps on playing the tunes so screw it.

Free credit report.com shows no claim against me- it's a ploy- blow them off.

KNAC was the greatest....I remember the glory days of Long Paul cranking out the hard rock. He's on XM now.

I've had XM since it first came out around 2003. I wouldn't go without it. I play Classic Vinyl while I'm out in the garage wrenching on the Mach 1.

I've been on XM since '06 and really enjoy it. As Friz said above, Classic Vinyl is one of my favourites as well. What channel is Long Paul on Friz?

Hold on, Long Paul still there? I thought he vanished after the merged and moved to KNAC.com. He used to be a DJ in Hair Nation and Classic Rock. I rarely listen to Classic Vinyl for obvious reasons.

Carlin's channel rocks

Yes, after I posted I digged in deeper, he is working at KNAC.com, and he is the voice there on the streamer. He is also working as a double duty in some radio station in Meza, AZ. Good tunes there, Im listening live right now.

Long Paul and Trasher were my favorite KNAC DJ
